Every morning before I come to work I try and finish the DomPost crossword - sometimes I do and sometimes I don't! This week I couldn't solve one of the corners - one of the clues was "bed item" - the only thing I could think of was "sheet" - I was amazed the next morning to read that the answer was "quilt" Here I am surrounded by quilts every day but when it comes to crossword answers I just didn't get i!
We had a great weekend in Auckland last week at Calico Christmas - it was really good meeting so many old friends again - and making some new ones. This year Colin came witht me - he thoroughly enjoyed his stints on the Booth and was amazed at how many people visited the show. Congratulations to Ansa Breytanbach who received The Cloth Shop prize for Best Applique - this is the second year in a row that Ansa has won our prize.
It's all Go Go here as we put the finishing touchee to the Saturday Sampler quilts 2010 so they will be ready for Revealing Day tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then

13th November - tomorrow - is Revealing Day for Saturday Sampler 2010!!
This year we have three new quilts to reveal - there will be patterns for all of them and a limited number of kits for the Black and Cream and Funky Kiwiana.
Tomorrrow is also a great chance to register for Saturday Sampler 2011 at the special priceof $30.00 - that is $30.00 for all of the nine blocks. Tomorrow we will reveal the colourway choices for 2011
