Stitched by Me!

Finished!! We have a few more little buttons to sew on - the quilting is not done yet....... but ........ Amiee has now cut Block 1 and we are ready to post it out. We have made up this Block of the Month using backgrounds of textured neutral fabrics from Japan, wool and cottons in plum, burgandybrown,,brick red. wild duck blue blue and touches of acid green - the stitching has been done with Madiera Lana woollen thread - each block comes with it's own unique wooden buttons and embellishments - Block One comes with alittle wooden tea bag button and a tape measure. Stitched by me Block of the Month will run over seven month and is $45.00 per month.

Gorgeous New Fabric

Exciting big boxes arrived last week! - Chistmas Fabric from Stof in our favourite colours of Black and silver, winter white and silver, rich cream and gold, mocha brown and gold and red and gold. We have been waiting for these fabrics to come since the beginning of the year - now we can make up kits for Stylish Christmas Tree, and as we perfect little Black silver squares for this Christmas wallhanging we will make up kits of them too and there are the Tall Christmas decorations - we have a gorgeous Black and silver house fabric for those, and the small Christmas Decorations - we have plenty of small dots and stars for those as well.

Colour of the Month for July

We always use the newest fabric to arrive in the shop as our Colour of the Month - July's colour is Mocha Brown and gold from our new range of Christmas fabrics. The benefits of joining the Colour of the Month Club are:-

Each month you will receive a gorgeous Colour of the Month pack in the mail - these fabrics are the newest ones to arrive into the shop.

Each pack contains one metre of fabric. Sometimes we make up the pack with eight fat eights of different textures and fabrics of one colour, sometimes we use a feature and use four or six fat eighths that are perfect complements to it.

Each month we deduct 10% from the regular retail price of your Colour of the Month Pack

Grommets

These are not the tiny ones that go into baby ears - these are much bigger and perfect for bags!

These Gommets are made in France and we have have them in orange, purple and black. They are $14.00 for a pack of four.

Beginners class

Beginners Tuesdays

We wil show you everything you have ever wanted to know about quilting - if phrases like roller cutters,self healing mats, fat quarters, 1/4" seams, stitch in the ditch, quilt as you go sound like a foreign language, come and join our classes and see how they all make sense.

Class starts at 9.30 and finishes at 12.00

$35.00 for six sessions.

We are keeping Tuesday mornings for Beginners, so the classes will quite small and relaxed.

Don't be nervous about coming - if you would always wanted to make a quilt come and give it a go - we would love to see you.

$110 - for the weekend - we will provide morning and afternoon tea and lunch, so all you need to do is come and have a fantastic weekend with Jill - creating!

Pink!!

Our Pink cutting boards now have a team mate - the pink rotary cutter.We are thrilled to have these new Pink Rotary Cutters - We have been waiting for years for them to come. They have been available in America but this is the first time they have been for sale in New Zealand.

We are joining our wholesalers who are donating 50c from the sale of each pink cutter to the breast cancer foundation - we will also donate 50c from each cutter and pink cutting mat sold.
